ONE cascade kit is required per heat pump in the cascade. (If installing integrated heat pumps in a cascade, the cascade kits are not required as the MIM inside the integrated can connect to the cascade controller directly.)
The MIM-E03GN is compatible with all Samsung heat pumps, excluding the integrated R290s. If you are installing the integrated r290 gen7 heat pumps in a cascade, the cascade control kits (MIM-E03GN) are not required, but the master control (MCM-D3E0N) is still required.
Up to 8 Samsung outdoor units of the same or different capacities can be controlled via the MCM-D3E0N. One Cascade kit MIM-E03GN is required per heat pump in the cascade. Please refer to the manufacturer’s instructions. Check Valves / Constant Flow Valves may be required for this type of cascade system.
• The maximum number of outdoor units that can be connected to a cascade controller is eight.
• The outdoor unit combination is possible only within the same product type.
e.g., when applying Mono HTQ, only Mono HTQ products can be combined.
Mono R32, Mono R290 and Mono R290 with pump cannot be applied with Mono HTQ.
• It is strongly recommended to configure the piping in a reverse return method to minimize flow rate
deviation for each outdoor unit.
